Meet our Community
Lamarr Williford
Lamarr Williford is an All-Star West Coast Swing competitor, performer, choreographer, instructor and artist. He rose to the top tier of the competitive West Coast Swing circuit in only four years, an accomplishment that takes a lifetime for many.
Studying and practicing the art of partner dancing for eight years, the Chicago, IL native teaches West Coast Swing, Salsa, Hustle, and Country dance. He leads advanced-level seminars as well as classes to beginners taking their first dance steps.

Amanda Stuart
Amanda Stuart is an award-winning dance instructor with over 20 years' experience teaching ballroom dance and competing as a gold-level dancer. But don't let her professional status intimidate you. Amanda creates space for students of all levels feel comfortable, inspired and motivated to develop ballroom dance skills under Amanda's intuitive, guided instruction. Amanda customizes lessons to her students' goals and adapts to how they learn best to deepen their understanding of the craft.
Amanda is currently taking students in West Coast Swing, American Smooth (Waltz, Foxtrot), Latin Rhythm (Salsa, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba), Social Dances (Bachata, Two-Step, Nightclub Swing), Competitive Performance and more.

Byron Doss
Byron is a adjunct professor at GVSU and dance teacher at Social Dance Studio. Byron has been dancing for 16 years. Byron dances all styles of partner dancing and enjoys teaching students of various skill levels.
Scott Mehlberg
Scott Mehlberg is an Advanced West Coast Swing Competitor, Rising Star Champion, GPDIA Judge certified and Instructor.
With over 16 years of experience in a wide variety of dance styles. Scott quickly rose to the level of WSDC Advanced in two years. Focused on his own choreography, he has numerous top three placements in both Showcase and Classic “Rising Star” Division. With having had unique and un-precedent partnerships from Russia and Chicago. He traveled across Europe, competing, judging, and performing.
Scott has also competed and excelled in collegiate ballroom and lindy hop before he found his love of WCS. Teaching swing, ballroom, lindy and salsa, he focuses on musicality and partnership.
